Austin Jaquith

Austin Jaquith is a composer of wide ranging experience spanning concert and film music. His concert music has been performed by ensembles such as the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Mirari Brass Quintet, and the El Paso Symphony Youth Orchestra. He was recently selected to be the Ohio Music Teachers Association Composer of the Year. As a composer of film music, he completed the score to Adrift by Barbara Sundstrom this past fall and will be composing for the upcoming feature film, The Bible Smugglers by Nathan VonMinden. In addition to working on this film, he just accepted a commission by the Dayton Performing Arts Alliance to compose a ninety-minute orchestral score for a new ballet production of Bram Stoker’s Dracula. An educator as well as a composer, Mr. Jaquith keeps an active teaching schedule at Cedarville University where he is an Associate Professor of Theory and Composition.
